To enable “Functioning as a team” in an organisation of around 500 employees, the following must be in place:
  • a clearly defined and documented structure which is preferably updated in an IT enabled system accessible across the organisation

  • an auto-pilot mechanism for the organisation to function operationally

  • an operational decision making process for HR matters – typically completely delegated, while even the strategic decisions may be somewhat decentralised to address needs based on different context

  • defined HR processes that are typically uniform across the organisation with compliance being mandatory
